Kumbh Mela Child Protection

Kumbh Mela
Kumbh Mela

Childline and Navjeevan Foundation work to protect vulnerable children during Kumbh Mela in Nashik.

Nashik is a religious city that hosts the Kumbh Mela once every 12 years. During this event, people from all over the world come together with their families. However, due to the large crowds, many children go missing from their families. While some children are found by the police, others are not so fortunate. Some children end up begging or selling things, while others work for the “Saadhus” and become addicted to various substances.

Protecting Vulnerable Children During Kumbh Mela

To address the needs of these vulnerable children, Childline works tirelessly to provide care and protection. In addition to Childline, the Navjeevan Foundation also provides voluntary assistance to these children. The foundation recognizes the importance of ensuring that these children are provided with proper care and protection, particularly in such a chaotic and unpredictable environment. Through their work, they strive to create a safer and more secure environment for these children, and help them to find a better future.
